Joel watches the nymphs with a sense of fascination and although he thinks they would likely to be able to do real damage to someone, he also isn't particularly scared. He doesn't think Nerium would let them hurt him when he clearly doesn't want to cause her any harm. He's still not entirely sure why, but he'd found himself liking her and he thinks she knows that. Or, at the very least, she knows he isn't going to attempt to hurt her.

It isn't that he's not capable of it. She knows a lot of things, she probably knows exactly what he can do and that he'd nearly killed Mark Fuller that night in the lighthouse. But he hopes she also knows he doesn't hurt people just for the fun of it.

"Oh," he says in response to her question, then raises his hand. A little green ball of light flickers into existence before it disappears again. "A locator spell." It's not the same one he used to find Spencer; that one had required blood, but he had needed to be sure. "It's not very accurate, but it gives me a relatively good idea. You weren't at the manor, so I..." He shrugs and smiles faintly, gesturing with his hand.
