ooc: Blackout Repercussions
Hi Everyone!
This is just a post to plot out potential repercussions between your characters and Nerium from the blackout. I'm open to anything, particularly if this calls from some use of the Magical Regulations/SCPD/Coven of Twelve as it would help move those plots forward all around :)
Or anything else at all!
For the sake of context, it is Grimhilde tradition to create utter havoc on Halloween, and the blackout is tame in comparison to most. Nerium would also not likely recognize any attempt at enforcement by authorities, should they try to assert it.
Additionally, to answer a few inquiries, the shadow creatures that will be coming from the dark are just that - shadow creatures. Shadows come to life in illusion - from unicorns to skeletons to spirits, to whatever fantastical thing you want. They will believe they are alive and act as such, but they cannot cause harm to your character (besides scaring them, or maybe even delighting them, its your call).

(Wren otoh is naturally anti-authoritarian, not particularly into capitalism, and not attached to his cell phone, so he's just legit gonna be delighted.)

And Wren can be as delighted as he wants :) Nerium isn't actually seeing this as a bad thing. To her, the town should be utterly delighted to be removed from technology and plunged into magic. And don't people want to be scared on Halloween?

Nerium a) feels like she did something delightful for the town, and b) does not recognize the town's authority, so it should make for an interesting conflict. Which is exactly what I've been hoping would happen :)

I'm sure that it would have protected him from direct curses and all that sort of thing so it would make him considerably less easy to attack.
If it really is less severe than her ancestors he might try and go "light" on her. Maybe push for monetary reparations and then volunteers hours or something? Make her work at the hospital, cleaning out bedpans or something fun.
